Crayola has added more fun crafts, colouring pages, and lessons for December!

You can create art projects for everything from Chanukah to Guadelupe Day to Kwanzaa to Christmas, Boxing Day, and even New Year’s Eve! There are also projects and lesson ideas for Winter.

The BC Learning Network has made a variety of interactive programs available for free on their website. This programs are geared towards Preschool, Kindergarten, and Primary-school aged children. The resources available include:

Bailey’s Book House

Trudy’s Time & Place House

I highly recommend spending some time playing these ‘games’ with your children, even if they are good at these subjects. They make learning fun and encourage children to think of reading, math, science, and telling time in a whole new way. HAVE FUN!!

Instructables.com is a website that gives instructions to create … well, just about anything! They have how-to’s for arts and crafts, games, outdoor projects, even Science Fair ideas!

They also have “green” projects that focus on using recycled materials! The featured project today is a Concrete Light Bulb Wall Hook. The great thing about this project is that you can buy pigments to reate coloured concrete and make a wall hook that matches your decor!
